Shooting in Argentina

Argentina, the "Country of the six continents", is an incredible natural monument stretching from the Tropic of Capricorn to the Antarctic Circle. Argentina comprises rain forests, spectacular waterfalls, forests, lakes and glaciers. The green of La Pampa, the wilds of the Andes and the space of Pantagonia produce a huge range of flora and fauna. Half of the country's 15 million inhabitants live in Buenos Aires, a city of friendly people and impressive hotels. Argentina is a country for the ardent sportsman and discerning traveller alike.

There is no season or limit on dove shooting in Argentina as doves are considered crop pests by farmers, who will welcome you with open arms. Shooting is excellent throughout the year, but the best seasons are March-June and September-December. Those who have shot dove in Argentina are often awestruck by the numbers of testing birds which will fly over your stand during the day. The doves nest all the year round and with little predation there is little to keep the population in check. The birds roost near water during the night, flying out to the fields during the day, shuttling back and forth between feed and water until they return to roost in the evening.

In collaboration with our operators H&H Outfitters, we are happy to be able to offer dove shooting in a territory close to the village La Granja. The territory is considered one of the best for dove shooting in Argentina. La Granja is situated about 45 minutes car drive from Cordoba. The territory is about 30 minutes from La Granja where the hunters are accommodated in the comfortable Sierra Verde lodge.

The shooting lasts for three days and includes hunting guide and free culling. Minimum number of hunters is 4, maximum is 15.
Gun permit should be applied for at the Argentine Consulate in your country well in advance.

Although the emphasis is on shooting, Argentina is a wonderful country in which to extend one's shooting visit and we strongly recommend that one takes the opportunity to travel in the country either before or after staying at the shooting lodge. The combination of an extraordinary bird shoot and great sightseeing opportunities makes this hunt ideal for also bringing your non-hunting spouse along as an observer.

Besides excellent sport you will experience the traditional Argentine hospitality which time and time again entices sportsmen to return.
